Princess loves garden egg stew and if you really want to make her day, serve it with boiled new yam!!! You should see her grinning from ear to ear once new yams make it to the market. I was a picky eater as a child, and my worst meal was breakfast. Saturdays were extra terrible for me becasue not only did i have to eat breakfast supervised, it was always yam and garden egg stew!!!

Unfortunately, I do. Once I was old enough to cook, I learned to make it so I could use the 'onje yen run si mi' (the food is smelling to me) excuse to get out of eating it!

Ingredients
Garden eggs
Pepper+Tomatoes+Onions (ground/chopped, hot/sweet to taste)
Palm Oil/Veg Oil
Maggi/Knoor to taste
Salt to taste

Boil the garden eggs in water with a pinch of salt (you can boil it in the same pot as the yam/plantain you intend to eat it with), you can tell they are cooked once you can poke a fork through them easily. Drain then and leave to cool a bit then remove the skin.

Put your veg oil/palm oil in a pan and let it heat up. (If you are using palm oil, let it ... start to bleach (gba)) Put in some chopped onion, and once the whole onion meets hot oil drama ends, put in your pepper+tomato+onion mixture, let it fry a bit, add maggi/knorr, and let it fry a bit more.

Add the boiled and peeled garden eggs, mashing them into the fried pepper mixture. Reduce the heat under the pan and let the whole thing simmer for a bit.

Remove from heat and serve with boiled yam/plantain

Enjoy (gag!)

@PTS - How do you make your garden egg sauce/stew?

What do you mean when ou gave the response to Accent as None? I think thats its almost impossible not to have an accent. Do you sound British, American, Nigerian, Canadian? Put diffirently if you went to say Australia what part of the globe would people say you were from (If they could see you)

hmm ...
I said no to the accent thing because you wouldn't know I was Yoruba if you heard me speaking. In that context I am accent-less. On the whole though perhaps my accent could be placed as African ...
